PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD
The learner credited with this Unit Standard will be able to explain the various breeding methods available to stud farms, based on breed association requirements, restrictions and available stud farm facilities.

The qualifying learner will be capable of:
Assessing the method of paddock or free breeding in horses.
Assessing the method of in-hand breeding in horses.
Assessing the method of artificial insemination in horses.
Assessing the method of embryo transfers in horses.
