A learner should provide evidence of learning competency (knowledge, skills and attitude) by means of the following:
A research report written to provide evidence of a professional attitude as well as a specialised and a high level of competence and knowledge in the specialised area proving leadership in the area of study
A framework for a publication complying with the standards of an accredited journal in the area of study
A congress paper complying with the standards of an international congress
INTEGRATED ASSESSMENT
Competence is achieved, through continuous assessment by demonstrating the ability to achieve the outcomes of the qualification
Examination and moderation of the research report (thesis) after at least two years after registration and preparation in consultation with the study leader(s), and in which proof of advanced research were delivered by the learner. At least two external examiners, apart from the study leader(s) will determine the mark.
Assessment documents are moderated to ensure that:
They conform to the scope and context of the competency as stipulated in the qualification
They are constructed in such a way that the Assessor assesses the critical outcomes applied, during the Learners activity performances, towards achieving an outcome
Assessments are:
To include confirmation of the Embedded knowledge component to ensure that the Foundational Competency is achieved
To be verified by Internal Verifiers to ensure valid, credible, true and fair results
