Associated Assessment Criteria for Exit Level Outcome 1:
Standard operating procedures for taking samples are applied.
Risk control measures to minimise risks are evaluated and applied.
The impact of environmental risks is prevented, minimised, mitigated and controlled.
Standards and legal codes to monitor compliance are applied.
Associated Assessment Criteria for Exit Level Outcome 2:
The waste management regulatory framework is applied to ensure compliance.
The waste management hierarchy (waste management hierarchy is a nationally and internationally accepted guide for prioritising waste management practices with the objective of achieving optimal environmental outcomes) is implemented.
The waste management regulations are implemented.
Associated Assessment Criteria for Exit Level Outcome 3:
Air pollution is measured.
The air quality regulations are implemented.
Anthropogenic activities for potential emission sources are assessed.
Associated Assessment Criteria for Exit Level Outcome 4:
The status of the ecosystem is assessed.
Overexploitation, habitat destruction and possible loss of bio-diversity are analysed.
Related conservation regulations are implemented.
Integrated Assessment:
Integrated Formative Assessment:
The skills development provider will use the curriculum to guide them on the stipulated internal assessment criteria and weighting. They will also apply the scope of practical skills and applied knowledge as stipulated by the internal assessment criteria. This formative assessment leads to entrance into the integrated external summative assessment.
Integrated Summative Assessment:
An external integrated summative assessment, conducted through the relevant Quality Council Trade and Occupation Assessment Quality Partner is required for the issuing of this qualification. The external integrated summative assessment will focus on the Exit Level Outcomes and Associated Assessment Criteria.
