Associated Assessment Criteria for Exit Level Outcome 1:

A variety of advance medical aesthetic treatments, massage and spa treatments are performed by the learner according to standard practice.
Theoretical knowledge of the advance medical treatment, eastern massages and spa treatments are understood and applied in a practical manner.
Personal appearance conforms to professional standards at all time.
Treatments and dealings with clients conform to professional standards.
Hygiene, sterilization and safety practices are applied at all times.
Skin/body/health status and lifestyle analysis is carried out on clients to ensure appropriate treatments are performed on clients.
Advice is given to clients on treatments that are needed and alternatives that could be used.
Relevant information is communicated to client.
Treatment given result in positive outcomes for the client.
Unforeseen circumstances are reacted to appropriately (Reflexive competence).

Associated Assessment Criteria for Exit Level Outcome 2:

Products and treatments are retailed/sold to clients.
Presentations are given to an audience.
Seminars are planned and run for a group of people.
Clients are dealt with in a professional and caring manner to ensure good client service.
Treatment plans are devised for clients to ensure client satisfaction and well being.
Treatments are costed according to organisational schedule of treatment.
A spa is managed according to sound business principles.
> Range: Managed includes, but is not limited to: being responsible for bookings, receipting money and payments, taking stock managing treatments and appointments and cashing up at the end of the day.

Associated Assessment Criteria for Exit Level Outcome 3:

Research topics are chosen relevant to the field.
Research tools, techniques and methodology are applied according to standard acceptable principles.
Results of research are analysed and findings presented in the form of a thesis.

Integrated Assessment:

Evidence of competence must be demonstrated in:

Oral and written examinations.
Portfolios of evidence.
Researched projects.
Case studies.
Practical demonstrations and practical assessments.
Problem solving assignments.
Experiential learning.

Both formative and summative techniques will be used in assessing learners.
