Assessment criteria associated with Specific Outcomes:

1. Utilise the process of scientific enquiry in midwifery;
Utilise findings to improve quality of care;
Apply simple measures for disseminating information on research findings within the unit.

2. Develop collaboration and networking strategies in partnership with multidisciplinary team.

3. Use a wide range of processes, techniques, tools and materials to gather information, solve problems, create and evaluate products and to communicate results.

4. Raise and explore questions; select best alternative for problem.

5. Apply problem-solving skills in maternal and neonatal conditions.

Integrated assessment to ensure that the purpose of the qualification is achieved:

Continuous assessment:
Formative evaluation in the form of projects, assignments, tests and OSCA
Summative evaluation includes research, community diagnosis and OSCE
Three (3) three-hour examination papers conducted by the school.
