Assessment criteria associated with Specific Outcomes:

1. Conduct an individual assessment throughout the life span;
Assess functional assessment of an individual;
Interpret data;
Make an individual diagnosis.

2. Communicate competently with individuals from different cultures;
Give health education effectively to groups and individuals including the use of resources;
Counsel individuals and groups;
Keep clear, accurate and complete records;
Refer and consult effectively;
Resolve conflict constructively;
Work effectively as a group leader.

3. Raise and explore questions to identify problems and distinguish between problems within the scope of practice and those in need of referral.

4. Select best alternative for a problem;
Evaluate results of an alternative implemented;
Draw up effective nursing care plans for individuals;
Manage and/or refer emergencies appropriately.

5. Evaluate process and outcome of implementation of care plans of individuals and families.

6. Use a wide range of processes, techniques, tools and materials in rendering nursing care;
Use equipment and technology in health setting, safely, appropriately and ethically;
Creatively improvise when technology is lacking.

7. Document and present concise, clear and authentic reports.

8. Conduct in-service education on disaster management and handling of emergencies;
Demonstrate knowledge, skills and understanding of the physical, psychological and emotional responses as well as the immediate needs of individuals, families and communities facing emergencies and disasters.
