1 A report is produced on the evaluation of one of the listed areas in relation to a specific area of the clothing industry. Breadth of application within the chosen specified area will reflect the level of the qualification.
2 An analytical report is produced on the integration of production, product, markets and technological change.
1 Produce an analytical report on the major influences in the global economy relating to merchandising clothing, general economic trends and supply chain management.
2 Analysis and recommendations support a knowledge of organisational change.
3 Completion of simulated exercises demonstrate a knowledge of strategic management.
1 An understanding of various productivity related strategies is demonstrated.
2 Evidence is produced to illustrate the learner’s evaluation of the above strategies in relation to a chosen area.
1 Demonstrate advanced problem solving abilities following accepted research methodology relating to a specialised area in clothing manufacturing.
2 Demonstrate the ability and commitment to generate and analyse data, draw conclusions, make recommendations where appropriate and indicate the development of personal knowledge.
3 The report is correctly referenced and structured and all technical data is validated.
1 The project will be structured in an acceptable manner, containing an introduction to the topic, a sound literature survey, data collection and analysis and conclusions.
2 The conclusion, recommendations and referencing will be accurate.
3 The project and report will be completed timeously.

Formative assessment:
Various appropriate methods of assessment are used to assess the development of the learner and indicate areas for improvement. Methods used will encourage problem-solving sills, integration of relevant learning material and ensure the purpose of the qualification is met. The knowledge, skills and values relating to academic and professional competencies will be assessed through tests, examinations, assignments, project work and tutorials.
Summative assessment:
Various methods of assessment are used to assess the result of the learning and accredit the learner. These include project and portfolio submissions, written tests and examinations, presentations and panel interviews.
