The learner can: / Does the learner:

1. Identify and solve PPL related problems by analysing the needs and problems within the research context, of educational communities, do appropriate original PPL related research with the possibility of implementation of research findings and recommendations, and assess their own activities.

2. Show evidence of effectively working with others (in a research context) during the research process and reflect on the teamship based on the relevant theories, methods and techniques.

3. Organise and manage their time effectively and responsibly during the research process, maintaining high quality of work and assess time management skills.

4. Plan original research and access, analyse, organize and critically evaluate PPL related information by applying relevant research methodologies, approaches and techniques. They make a scientific contribution to the field and assess the research process, with the possibility of implementing the knowledge generated in their empirical research.

5. Communicate with learners in the educational and PPL situation as well as others using skills in written and oral modes and reflect on the effectiveness of the communication.

6. Utilise the different facilitation skills to solve problems, contributing to effective facilitation and learning, based on theoretical foundations while showing responsibility towards the environment, health and safety of others and reflect on the effectiveness thereof.

7. Demonstrate the ability to explore the use of PPL in diverse situations, apply the appropriate strategies effectively. They promote human development within communities showing an understanding of the importance of the contribution of the research.

8. Demonstrate the ability to explore, select and apply appropriate learning strategies to facilitate their learning and reflect on the effectives of the applications.

9. Participate responsibly in their local, national and international communities within the scope of the learning context of this qualification, by solving problems regarding PPL and reflect on their participation.

10. Show sensitivity to the culture of others in the research design procedures as well as the aesthetic issue in this context, based on relevant theories, and reflect on their actions.

11. Demonstrate the ability to investigate career advancement and work opportunities, show employment seeking skills in the field of PPL, and reflect on the implementation of these skills.

12. Show entrepreneurial skills by relating solutions to PPL-related problems to other sectors of society and producing products (software and/or strategies) related to these problems and to reflect on the development and application of these skills.

Integrated assessment.

Integrated assessment appropriately incorporated to ensure that the purpose of the qualification is achieved:

Formative assessment practises that will be implemented:

Regular meetings with supervisor to assess progress of research.
Continuous assessment, comment and guidance by supervisors(s).
Two seminars to members of the faculty, supervisor(s) and colleagues (optional).
Peer discussion groups with fellow students when required if practical.

Summative assessment practises that will implemented:

Integrated assessment, focusing on the achievement of the exit-level outcomes, will be done by means of examination of thesis by at least two external examiners and supervisor(s).
