1. The assessments used for the qualification of HonsBScMedSc ensure that the purpose of the qualification is achieved.

2. The assessment used meets the standard and level of achievement for NQF level 7.

3. A range of formative and summative assessment methods are used, such as assignments, projects, presentations, case-studies, a research project and written examinations.

4. The qualifying learner’s written and oral presentations must be of an acceptable academic standard in terms of the use of an acceptable academic standard in terms of the use of Afrikaans or English as language and the structural organisation of presentations.

INTEGRATED ASSESSMENT

The qualifying learner must:

Achieve a minimum of 50% in all three theoretical modules (Research Methodology and Epidemiology, Rehabilitation 1, Rehabilitation 2) and must satisfactorily complete all compulsory assignments.

Submit a comprehensive research protocol that demonstrates proof of successful integration of all theoretical components and meets the standards and requirements of a research assignment at Honours level.
