Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the relationship between good grooming habits, personal appearance and self-image.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of skills required to care for and style hair using professional hairstyling techniques.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the structure and functions of the skin; the effects of nutrition; and how to use skincare products professionally.
Demonstrate technical knowledge and skills required to apply different types of makeup appropriately.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of how to establish healthy fitness goals and create a workout that maximises wellness and meets personal needs.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the basic concepts of nutrition and well-being in order to make informed dietary decisions that relate to weight control, disease prevention, athletic performance, and general good health.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the history, growth and development of the modelling industry, including current trends.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the different types of modelling agencies; the functions of an agency; the procedures for finding an agent and for applying to an agency; and what to expect from an agency.
Demonstrate understanding of the major, minor, and local markets and know some important facts about travelling in foreign countries.
Demonstrate knowledge of the use of voice, speech, communication, interpersonal skills and other important elements in order to project a professional image.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the business aspects of a career in modelling, such as making career plans, investing in your career, business skills, record keeping, legal matters, and insurance.
Demonstrate understanding of the photographer-model relationship and know what to do before and after a booking and photo shoot.
Demonstrate knowledge, skills and understanding of a number of basic principles of movement used by professional models.
Demonstrate an awareness of the speciality field of body parts modelling and the different ways individual body parts appear on film or in photographs.
Demonstrate knowledge, understanding and skills required to build a successful career as a promotional model.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of promotional modelling techniques such as basic runway movement, moving to music, and creating an impression through clothing, makeup, and hairstyle.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the tools available for promoting modelling abilities i.e. the composite, commercial headshot, resume, portfolio, and voice tape.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the different techniques and poses used for television and films; the basic terminology used on television and film sets; the basic steps involved in creating a TV commercial; and various aspects relating to the audition.

Integrated Assessment:

Continuous assessment: The learner`s ability to integrate the elements of the programme is assessed through tasks, activities and self-assessments.

Formative and summative assessment: Learner competency is assessed through tests; practical tasks conducted under supervision; portfolio assignments; reports and case studies.
