Integrated evaluation of the achievement of these outcomes will be done by way of a variety of strategies:
Formative assessments
Individual assignments which will involve creative problem-solving, accessing of knowledge and application of knowledge.
Individual and group discussion during facilitation sessions in order to sharpen critical and logical skills.
Practical evaluation of the relevant skills in learning environments and in actual work situations.
Summative assessments
Written examinations, lecture tentamens, performances and projects applying theoretical knowledge and practical problem-solving in different social contexts requiring a combination of skills and knowledge gathered in different study units.
Integrated assessment appropriately incorporated to ensure that the purpose of the qualification is achieved:
Integrated and continuous assessment takes place throughout the presentation of the academic programme in the different academic contexts. The various formative and evaluative methods are presented as follows:
1. Class and semester tests, written and performed (involving a demonstration of skills).
2. Written and performed examinations.
3. Individual and group assignments.
4. Evaluation of individual and ensemble performance in class and during public events.
5. Informal evaluations, such as discussions, feedback and critiques from facilitators, fellow learners, and professional musicians.
In the final year some examinations may be moderated by an external examiner.
