Mastery of the knowledge and skills required is demonstrated by regular written and oral testing of students in all courses (including assignments on the critical evaluation of the theory as applied in practice), culminating in written examinations at the end of each semester/year and a treatise on an approved research topic at the end of the course.
All examinations are subject to both internal and external examination based upon pre-approved papers and written memoranda, while final year results are subject to review by an examination panel.
Testing includes a demonstration of factual, analytical and independent research skills as evidenced in, among others, a treatise on an approved topic.
The quality of instruction is monitored by semi-annual or annual evaluation of both content and lecturers by the learners as well as feedback by class representatives to the head of the department.
