Students must demonstrate their knowledge and insight in assignments, class tests and examinations.
2. Skills and Abilities
Students must demonstrate their ability to teach English language and literature in the practical design of courses, the writing out and teaching of lessons, the design of task sheets and language tests, continuous assessment procedures, and examination papers and memoranda.
3. Values
Students must demonstrate the values they have acquired in assignments, tests and examinations.
4. Citizenship
Students must demonstrate their awareness of their role and function in society in assignments, tests and examinations.
Integrated assessment
Integrated assessment takes place throughout the presentation of the academic programme. The various formative and evaluative methods are presented as follows:
Assessment
The following continuous assessment methods are applied throughout the presentation of the academic programme in the different academic contexts.
1. Class and semester tests
2. Written semester examinations
3. Assignments and mini dissertations
4. Evaluation of individual projects
5. Evaluation of course and lesson design
6. Informal evaluations, such as discussions, feedback and critiques from facilitator and fellow learners.
7. Evaluation of micro-teaching.
