Associated Assessment Criteria for Exit Level Outcome 1:
Junior colleagues are taught and guidance in safe surgical practice is provided in endoscopic related gynaecological problem solving and management.
The dangers of performing minimally invasive surgery is appreciated and communicated and safe endoscopic surgery (Minimally Access Gynaecological Surgery) is performed.
Correct patient and procedure selection is performed resulting in optimal patient care and safety.
The use of the technology available to MIG surgeons such as energy sources, lasers and camera/recording systems is understood.
A high level of theoretical knowledge about common gynaecological problems (e.g. evaluation of gynaecological disorders in reproductive health, oncological diseases and uro-genital diseases) is shown.
Practical skills and experience in management of gynaecological disorders is demonstrated and the necessary laboratory tests are interpreted; the necessary special investigations are performed and the appropriate prophylactic and/or curative endoscopic treatment (laparoscopy and/or hysteroscopy) are prescribed.

Associated Assessment Criteria for Exit Level Outcome 2:
Clear, answerable research questions are formulated that pertain to the discipline of reproductive medicine.
Existing literature, clinical data, laboratory data, e.g. hysterosalpingogram (HSG), Ultrasound of the uterus and ovaries is critically assessed.
The principles of research are understood, research questions in MIGS are identified and research projects of a publishable quality is developed.
The most appropriate methodology to address the research question(s) is chosen.
An appropriate literature review is written.
The study is conducted and the data is analysed.
Logical, evidence-based conclusions is drawn from the data.
The results of the research is presented and defended in an acceptable scientific format.

Integrated Assessment:
Formative assessments will be performed on a continuous basis. This will be done via monitoring procedures and helps to identify specific weaknesses in the learner’s knowledge before engaging in a formal assessment process.

The summative assessment of a learner will be performed by a process of formal internal and external examination of the two modules.
